Geometry PR has been awarded the contract to promote the British Transplant Games which take place in Bath during August.
The games, which take place at venues including the University of Bath and Royal Victoria Park from August 19th to 22nd, aim to raise awareness of the need for organ donations and encourage more people to sign the NHS Organ Donor Register. Some 1,500 UK transplant athletes will be competing in the city, which last hosted the games in 2006. Runners will raise money for Transplant Sport UK and partner charity, the Donor Family Network.
Speaking about the games, Linda Donaldson of Geometry PR, who lives in Bath said; “It is very exciting for the city to be hosting these games once again. The games were very successful in 2006, and apart from serving a very important function of raising awareness for an excellent cause, they proved to be a great spectacle for those who turned out in support.
“We are pleased to be involved with the British Transplant Games and are expecting them to be even more successful in 2010.”
If you are interested in running the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday, 7th March for Transplant Sport UK and the Donor Family network please contact Loraine Morgan-Brinkhurst on (01225) 823004.
