Geometry scoops Gold and Silver at PR awards

Bristol-based public relations consultancy Geometry PR has scooped two top awards in this year’s West of England PRide awards.

The agency picked up Gold in the ‘Corporate and Business Communications’ category for client Pasta King and Silver in the ‘Best Event’ category for client Recticel. The agency was also finalist in the category of ‘Outstanding PR Consultancy’.

The PRide awards are hosted by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and are held annually to recognise the outstanding work and achievements of agencies and public relations practitioners around the UK. The awards were presented by Evening Post deputy editor Rob Stokes at the Marriott City Centre hotel in Bristol on Wednesday, 4th November 2009.

Rick Donaldson, Business Director at Geometry PR, said: “We are very pleased to see our hard work for clients recognised at the PR industry’s most prestigious awards. Receiving the Gold award in the Corporate and Business Communications category is an excellent achievement given the strength of the competition.

“Picking up the Silver for managing the Recticel event recognises that PR is so much more than simply media relations. Being a finalist in the Outstanding PR agency of the year is another reason to celebrate given the calibre of agencies in the region. It is fantastic to see our team rewarded for the professionalism and hard work they put in.”

For Pasta King, Geometry PR has successfully raised the profile of the food supplier within the trade and foodservice industry. Geometry has positioned the company as healthy eating experts within key trade press.

For Recticel, Geometry PR planned and managed the opening of the insulation manufacturer’s new production facility. The event was held late last year and Geometry PR succeeded in their goals to run a successful event and send out a positive message for the company and its investors, in the current economic downturn.

At last year’s CIPR awards, Geometry PR walked away with Gold for ‘Best Use of Media Relations and Silver for ‘Consumer Relations,’ both for their work with client Dickinson and Morris.
